We find Ayamonte, a town of whitewashed houses decorated with geraniums, full of charm and with a rich history reflected in the magnificent local heritage. Ayamonte has distinctive architecture, with historic and distinctive buildings situated all over the town, such us the Iglesia del Salvador, the Convento de San Francisco, both dating from the 15 th century, the Capilla de San Sebastian, of Gothic-Mudejar style, La Merced, Nuestra Señora De las Angustias, the Casa Grande and the Palacio del Marqués de Ayamonte. We also find numerous romantic spots, like the Plaza de la Coronación, the Paseo de la Ribera and the Plaza de la Laguna.
